Colocynth is called the King of colic because it is very helpful in severe stomach pain. In this type of pain, the patient feels such intense cramping that they naturally bend forward or fold themselves, pressing their stomach with hands to get relief. They may keep twisting, turning, and moving restlessly because the pain is unbearable. The pain usually gets worse after eating or drinking. Interestingly, pressing the abdomen hard or applying warmth (like a hot water bag) gives relief.
